Pollen is the male genetic material of a plant, bees collect it and knead it with the nectar of flowers, it is thus used as nourishment for worker bee and kelp larvae after the third day of life, being the only protein source at their disposal. Bee pollen is rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins, lipids and fatty acids, enzymes, carotenoids and bioflavonoids.
